Named after the isiXhosa expression “To go around” the Jikeleza is Buffalo City’s premier tourism route and unfortunately also its best-guarded secret.
It was established in 1999 to promote tourism immediately north-east of the city and which is now the official start of South Africa’s Wild Coast – a route littered with some of the best beaches in the world – and shipwrecks off the coast.
